Sebastian Lindholm winner on gravel
Finnish Rally Championship 4/7
Sebastian Lindholm was once again unbeatable with his Peugeot 206 WRC as the summer season of Finnish Rally Championship started in Joensuu, Eastern Finland.
Lindholm was fastest on five of the seven special stages. Toyota Corolla WRC driver Juuso Pykälistö managed to beat him on the fifth stage, and Jouni Ampuja with Ford Focus WRC was fastest on the last stage of the day. Juuso Pykälistö had misfortune at the sixth stage, as he had a puncture and was left nearly 4 minutes behind the leader. Jouni Ampuja was second and Jarmo Mikkonen with Ford Focus WRC third.
Lindholm is now leading at the Championship standings, Jouni Ampuja is one point behind.

Juuso Pykälistö, 40
Juha Salo with Mitsubishi Lancer was the winner of group N, over 2-litres. Championship leader Jukka Ketomäki was fastest on the first stage, but had troubles at the second and Juha Salo took the lead. Jarkko Miettinen entetered the class with Tommi Mäkinen Racing teams Subaru Impreza. Miettinens performance was excellent, he fought hard til the last stage with much more experienced Jani Paasonen. After the last stage Paasonen was 0,1 seconds behind Miettinen, and had to settle for third position.
