KMS Racing to compete with young talents on both sides of Gulf of Bothnia

The official M-Sport Partner in Finland, KMS Racing, is set to compete in both Finland and Sweden this weekend – separated by the Gulf of Bothnia. In Sweden, the third round of ERC is set to take place in the traditional rally city of Karlstadt. The KMS Racing-entered Ford Fiesta Rally3 is driven by the French talent Tristan Charpentier, co-piloted by Florian Barral.
-ERC Sweden is a new challenge for me. On my debut on gravel with a four-wheel-drive car in Portugal, the stage times were good, top3 and top5 when we didn’t have any issues, and the pace was there. Of course, Sweden is significantly faster and cleaner than Portugal, but if everything goes well, our aim is to finish on the podium in ERC3, Charpentier said.
In the Finnish Rally Championship, 18-year-old Raoul Dahlqvist continues his season after the great pace shown in the previous round of the championship in Turku. Dahlqvist got his first taste of the four-wheel-drive Rally3-spec Fiesta last weekend in Rantaralli, where the Finn and co-driver Patric Öhman finished third overall. This weekend, it’s back to Rally4-spec Fiesta, but the teachings are fresh in mind.
-We’ve been able to drive quite a lot recently, and I believe the rally with Rally3 car helps us behind the wheel of a Rally4. It’s good that we were able to drive just a week before the event, in most other events this year we’ve had a break from driving. Our goal is to continue the pace we’ve shown in Turku, Dahlqvist said.
