KMS Racing enters ERC Sweden with Fiesta Rally3 and ERC2-runner up Feofanov
The official M-Sport partner in Finland, KMS Racing, will compete in the Royal Rally of Scandinavia in Sweden this weekend with a Ford Fiesta Rally3. Behind the wheel of the team's car in the ERC3 class will be Dmitry Feofanov, the silver medalist in the 2021 ERC class.
KMS Racing, the official partner of M-Sport in Finland, is set to participate in the ERC Royal Rally of Scandinavia in Sweden this coming weekend. Dmitry Feofanov, accompanied by co-driver Normunds Kokins, will drive the team's Ford Fiesta Rally3. With extensive experience in Baltic and European rallies, Feofanov, who secured the silver medal in the ERC2 class in 2021, approaches his first rally in Sweden with an open mind.
"I’m definitely very glad to come back to ERC. As Sweden is in the ERC calendar for the first time, the main expectations are to see the roads and drive a clean rally. If the rally remains a part of ERC in the years to come, I believe the experience from this week will help in the future when I come back for a full ERC season," shares Feofanov, discussing his expectations for the Swedish competition.
Last season, Feofanov competed in two ERC events, including the Polish round of the championship with KMS Racing's Rally3 Fiesta. The upcoming event will provide an opportunity to get a feel for the Rally3-class car after a short break from competitions.
"It will be interesting to see how far I’m from the really fast guys in terms of speed at the moment. We are not fighting for any titles this year however, so the main goal is to remind myself some driving and to have fun,” explains Feofanov.
The ERC Royal Rally of Scandinavia will take place in Karlstad and the surrounding areas from July 6th to 8th. The competition consists of 16 special stages covering a total distance of 182.60 kilometers. Fans can follow the event on ERC+ with a WRC+ subscription.
