KMS Racing's Daniel Polasek Competing for Bronze in Kokkola

27.09.2023 / KMS Racing Press

The Finnish Rally Championship season for Tuusula-based KMS Racing concludes with the season-ending rally in Kokkola this weekend. The team's young Czech driver, Daniel Polasek, is in contention for the SM3 class bronze medal ahead of the final race of the season.

M-Sport's official partner in Finland, KMS Racing, is heading to the season finale of SM Ralli Kokkola with their young Czech driver, Daniel Polasek. Polasek, along with co-driver Katerina Janovska, is sitting third in points in the FRC3 category. The young Czech made his debut in the fast Finnish stages at the season-opening Arctic Lapland Rally and reflects now on the season so far.

"We chose the Finnish Championship this year to learn and improve on gravel, and looking at the results it’s clear that we have improved quite a bit. If we compare the gap to the leaders between the Arctic Rally and the previous event in Lahti, our pace is better and we are finally racing with Finnish drivers. In Kokkola, we're going to defend our third place. I'm looking forward to the season finale!" Polasek discusses his perspective heading into the season's conclusion.

KMS Racing's team manager, Jussi Kumpumäki, is satisfied with the team's Ralli SM season, and together with Polasek, they await the fate of the bronze medal with anticipation.

"The season has been great so far, and this weekend in Kokkola, we'll see the culmination of this year's progress. It's certainly nice to use this as a benchmark for the races in the winter. We're going for that bronze medal," Kumpumäki affirms.
