KMS Racing’s rally season continues in Portugal as Tristan Charpentier embarks on his first gravel rally with a Rally3 car

French racing driver Tristan Charpentier continues his competitive season this weekend with WRC Portugal. Driving with KMS Racing, the 23-year-old driver makes his gravel debut on a four-wheel-drive Ford Fiesta Rally3.

The official M-Sport partner in Finland, KMS Racing, competes in the WRC Portugal this weekend with a single car entry. Driving the Ford Fiesta Rally3 in the WRC3 category is the French talent Tristan Charpentier and his co-driver Florian Barral. Vodafone Rally de Portugal marks the second WRC event for the 23-year-old, as well as first rally on gravel with a four-wheel-driver car.

After the challenging WRC Croatia, Charpentier, who finished eight in category, embarks on the three-day event to gain more experience on gravel with the Ford Fiesta Rally3. The former single-seater racer turned rally driver began his competitive career in rallying with two-wheel-drive Rally4 cars last year and took a step up to Rally3 this year with KMS Racing. Besides the tarmac stages of Croatia, the Frenchman competed in snow at the third round of Finnish Rally Championship, SM Tuuri Rally.

WRC Portugal begins on Thursday evening with a short super special stage. The event consists of 22 special stages and just over 337 special stage kilometres. KMS Racing and Tristan Charpentier compete with number 67.
