Janne Tuohino to Arctic Lapland Rally with Ford Fiesta R5
Last time we enjoyed Janne Tuohinos performance in FRC-event in 2011 Kouvola. Now this Dubai-based rallydriver is entering the opening event of FRC 2014, Arctic Lapland Rally. Tuohino is driving the Ford Fiesta R5 of PrintSport Racing, the car arrived in Finland at the very end of December and is being prepared for the event.
"We were practising at Vanttauskoski with my own Mitsubishi and couple of my friends. I said to my co-driver Markku, that it feels as if I have never driven a rally car before! So I do need a lot more practise with my Mitsubishi before even trying the R5", Tuohino reveals.
I have to admit, that I really have missed rallying during these past couple of years. It´s so fun to drive again! I have no future plans, even though I did ask Eero Räikkönen if he would have a car available if I would need one".
Tuohino has a lot of business to take care of before the event. He will still travel back to Dubai and returns Finland for Arctic Lapland Rally. He will then drive some tests with Ford Fiesta R5 as preparations for the event.
